About Cherokee Auto Family
Cherokee Ford was founded in 1991, when Vernon Krause purchased a Ford dealership in Canton, Georgia, and renamed it Cherokee Ford. The dealership was operated in Canton until December 1, 1994, when it was relocated to its present location in Woodstock. In late 2001, Cherokee Auto Family was awarded the Hyundai franchise, and Woodstock Hyundai opened in 2002. In October of 2009, the Hyundai dealership was relocated to Kennesaw, Georgia, and was renamed Cherokee Hyundai of Kennesaw. In August 2009, Cherokee Auto Family acquired a Ford, Lincoln dealership in Alpharetta, Georgia, and named it Cherokee Ford Lincoln of Alpharetta.
